ADULT & NEONATAL INTENSIVE CARE

ADULT & NEONATAL INTENSIVE CARE

CRITICAL CARE

and, if it gets close to the line..

sometimes, illnesses may get so serious that close monitoring and support may be needed while the healing process is ongoing. The Limi Hospital Group has four (4) critical care units which are equipped for the tough times when health threatens the worst.

  • Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)-
  • Adult Intensive Care Unit
  • Cardiac High Dependency Care Unit

Prematurely born infants are at increased risk of neurodevelopmental disabilities — disorders in brain functioning that can affect a child’s learning ability, memory or behavior. Other complications that occur in the newborn period also can increase risk.

Limi Hospital’s Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) includes experts in neonatology, child neurology, advanced nurse practice, nutrition, social services, physical therapy and occupational therapy. Depending on your child’s needs, additional specialists — in neuropsychology, neurosurgery, medical genetics, audiology and other areas — may be involved in developing a unified and personalized plan of care.
